Sing Queen! is a fun and exciting addition to our holiday portfolio! Great for Rock & Pop enthusiasts, gigging singers, karaoke stars, We Will Rock You musical fans but also anyone who wants to take a deep dive into their contemporary vocal technique. You will work with expert professional tutors from the rock and pop world, including world renowned rock vocalist Danny Vaughn & Ben Mann an in demand vocal coach across theatre and pop. Patrick D’Arcy, Musical Director will work with the group to produce a live show for the end of the week!
Queen transcended so many genres, from Heavy & Glam Rock to Pop all the way through to Opera. Their music incorporated majestic vocal harmonies that few in the rock and pop world have ever managed to surpass. This course will climax in an end of week flashmob and a short live concert.
Ben Mann, vocal coach to Grammy nominees and a well-known pop band, as well as countless West End leads and Benjamin Levy, Musical Director of We Will Rock You, team up to direct this course with the aim to enhance your rock and pop vocal abilities whilst building confidence in your solo and group work. Performance Mentor, Danny Vaughn will be present all week to guide your rock and pop performance and provide a masterclass of tips and tricks learned throughout his 30+ years of global touring.
This 5-day, 6-night course coincides with the UK half-term. The week will combine group coaching, ensemble work and 1-to-1 assessment using the esteemed Estill vocal training method.
Nestled on the Southern Spanish coast, you’ll have ample time to soak up the autumn sun on local beaches, explore the mountainous Spanish countryside, or take a trip into the Tarifa, the most southern point in Europe. There is no other combined holiday workshop around where you get to work with three highly trained vocal coaches and work towards a live show. It is perfect for gigging and hobby singers, modern choir members, musical theatre enthusiasts and Queen fans!
As always at Sing Eat Retreat, great fun and good food will be top of the agenda as you meet and work with a small group of new like-minded friends.

Travel
Flights are available from most UK and European cities to Málaga – one and a half hour’s drive from the retreat.
There are also direct flights to Gibraltar from London and Manchester. Gibraltar airport is only a 30 minute drive, once across the border.
Once you have booked your flights, we will assist you with transfers to and from the villa by putting you in touch with transfer or taxi companies and, where possible, we will co-ordinate group pick-ups once we know your travel schedules.
We will stay in contact with you to ensure that your journey is as smooth as possible.
How it Works
Days are split between group singing and rehearsals, 1 to 1 sessions, and smaller group sessions in hourly classes starting from 9am through to early evening. There will be plenty of breaks and chances for time out.
For the smaller groups sessions and 1 to 1 coaching you will be allocated to a coach that is best suited to your vocal abilities, but everyone will get a chance to work with all coaches throughout the week.
Rehearsals are the most exciting part of the day when everyone comes together to learn the repertoire for the end of week show.
Food
We know amazing food and new taste experiences are key to a great holiday so we carefully choose chefs who can deliver fresh, healthy, balanced menus showcasing the wealth of fabulous produce of Spain via a variety of local traditional dishes and international cuisine.
This holiday includes all meals and snacks, wine, beer or softs with dinner, except on one night when the group will eat out at their own expense.
The Accommodation
THE VILLA
Huerta Belinda, where the Singing Holiday takes place, is a majestic large mansion in the small and natural urbanisation of El Cuarton. It is 8km from bohemian Tarifa and its wonderful beaches. The mansion has a beautiful pool and gardens, lovely patios for relaxing and magnificent views. There are eight bedrooms at the villa sleeping a total of 17 people.
HOTEL MESÓN DE SANCHO
Offsite and just a 2-minute drive away is Mesón de Sancho, a quaint, traditional Spanish hotel. The bedrooms offer heating, television, telephone, full bathroom, free Wi-Fi and the hotel itself is set in beautiful gardens for your relaxation, plus outdoor pool and gym.
Those opting to stay at the hotel will benefit from more budget friendly sole occupancy rates, whilst benefiting from all the facilities, meals and drinks at the villa. Free transfers are provided between the hotel and villa.
Tarifa, Spain is the most southerly town in mainland Europe and is only 14km from Africa. The views from Huerta Belinda look across to Africa over the Strait of Gibraltar. Tarifa is a world-class kitesurfing destination and the Strait of Gibraltar is full of dolphins and whales who crisscross from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic.
The nearest airports are Gibraltar (30 minutes) and Málaga (1 hour 30 minutes).
