Terms & Conditions
SING EAT RETREAT is a trading name of SER Holidays. All customers and employees must be aware of the Terms and Conditions set out below.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
SER Holidays require a £300 non-refundable deposit fee paid to secure the place. By paying this fee customers are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions and will be emailed a ‘Booking Confirmation’.
60% of the full balance, less £300 deposit, is payable 12 weeks before commencement of the event and final payment of 40% is payable 4 weeks before commencement of the event, unless agreed otherwise on confirmation of booking.
If a customer cannot attend their booked holiday, they may change their booking to another holiday for a transfer fee of £250 plus any difference in holiday costs on condition that SER Holidays is notified in writing at least 8 weeks in advance of the original booked holiday. Otherwise, cancellation penalties as detailed further below will apply.
Once you have paid your initial holiday deposit your booking remains unconfirmed until you receive the full booking confirmation. This is normally sent within 2 working days after you make the initial deposit payment. For this reason, do not book any flights or other transport until you have received the booking confirmation.
In the unlikely event that SER Holidays Ltd refuses a booking, the deposit will be refunded in full. Refusals may be due to vocal ability or voice type; please read the holiday page requirements carefully for voice type, ranges and experience. If you are unsure whether a holiday is suitable, contact our event managers by phone or email to discuss. We will always try to accept a booking, and if we cannot, we will recommend an alternative holiday for you.
ACTIVITIES
Schedules and teaching staff will be adhered to as accurately as possible, but any activities scheduled by SER Holidays over the duration of the event, or any tutors, musical directors, mentors, or masterclass guest artists may be subject to change. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, any member of the teaching team is changed, they will be replaced with persons of equal experience and talent.
If a holiday does not sell to capacity and drops below 16 participants, SER Holidays reserves the right to reduce the number of teachers to an appropriate level which will not negatively impact on the size of the classes.

Customers shall not create noise or disturbances likely to disturb or annoy the surrounding property owners. Quiet hour starts at 10:30pm where all noise should be kept to a minimum. Where stated in the bedroom description, please be aware that you may be sharing with another person/s.
Customers shall maintain the property in a good, clean condition and leave it as such at the expiration of the event. Customers may be required to cover the cost of repairs should they cause any damage to the property or its furnishings.
We acknowledge that guests may require practice time during the week; however, it is important to adhere to the noise policy in place at the villas and hotel. Specifically, there is a prohibition on noise from 10:30 PM until 8:00 AM. Singing in rooms during this period is not permitted, as we must ensure a peaceful environment for everyone and prevent any complaints from other hotel guests.
Smoking is not allowed inside the property.
Customers shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless SER Holidays against all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from use of the property regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss.
Illegal activity is not permitted on the premises and customers partaking in such activities will be asked to vacate the premises immediately.
Valuable possessions left behind by customers will be held for no longer than 3 months and it is up to the customer to arrange collection of these items from a place agreed by SER Holidays.
Sharing Rooms
If you wish to book a sharing room (cheaper than a solo room) it is advised that you book a sharing room with a friend or partner.
If like many of our guests do, you are travelling solo, SER will try to manage who you share with and pair you with someone of similar age. We ask that guests in sharing rooms show mutual respect and consideration regarding noise and privacy.
SER will endeavour to resolve any sharing issues, however, if the original accommodation is fully booked then the only option would be a move to a separate hotel at an additional cost payable by the person requesting the changes.
FOOD AND ALCOHOL
Allergies
We will make every effort to address any food allergies and/or intolerances; however, it is essential that you inform us of these requirements on the registration form sent to you after your deposit has been received.
Vegetarian/Vegan
We accommodate individuals following a vegetarian/vegan diet. During most mealtimes, there will be distinct dishes prepared exclusively for our vegetarian/vegan guests.
The chef typically adheres to a menu rotation that features chicken, fish, and shellfish, while generally providing fewer options for red meat.

Where your holiday states wine and beer are included, this will be provided with the main meal in the evening until 10:30pm.
Sound of Music, Salzburg and Mamma Mia, Zante
Alcohol is not included in these holidays, and we ask all guests to ensure their bar and restaurant bills are settled before leaving.
Water is provided 24/7.
LIABILITIES
SER Holidays strongly advises all customers to hold valid travel insurance covering the full duration of the event. SER Holidays accepts no liability for any illness, injury, loss, or for any physical or mental health issues suffered by participants before, during, or after the event. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are medically fit to attend and that their insurance covers medical treatment, cancellation, curtailment, and any additional needs.
AUTHORITY
Employees and staff at SER Holidays will work together to ensure a premium customer experience, and in return customers are requested to show respect for all other participants, property, and employees of the event at all times. If a customer has shown to breach this obligation or if they have shown unfit to partake in the event, then the staff may use their discretion to ask the customer to stand down from classes and group activities.
The staff may require an individual to leave the group if the customer has behaved in a way as to endanger health. safety or enjoyment of the group or staff. In the event of this action the customer involved will not be entitled to any refund.
TUTORS & CLASSSES
SER tutors are the best in the business and highly regarded in their field, possessing extensive knowledge and expertise in their profession. We kindly request that guests honour their decisions and methods regarding the organization of classes and the arrangement of live or recorded showcases. The tutors will design a performance that aligns with the participants’ capabilities, ensuring an optimal public presentation.
Only on certain holidays guests will have the opportunity to engage in 1-1 sessions. Please check your holiday description where these 1-to-1 sessions are applied. You are requested to bring 2 to 3 songs for these sessions, at least one that you are confident singing and one other that will stretch your abilities. A tutor may suggest you try a different song because it will suit your voice or your holiday aim better.
You may be asked to sing solo however, not everyone will have the chance to perform a solo during the live or recorded showcase.
In the event of an imbalance in vocal types, guests may be requested to assist with the vocal type that is underrepresented.
PHYSICAL CONTACT
There are occasions when it may be entirely appropriate and proper for tutors to have physical contact with guests, particularly in a performing arts environment, but it is crucial that they only do so in ways appropriate to their professional role. Physical instruction which involves safe touch towards certain areas of training is sometimes key to aid effective teaching and learning, i.e., awareness of correct muscle usage, correct posture, correct line and breathing techniques.
If you are uncomfortable with any form of physical contact, kindly inform the tutor at your earliest opportunity.
It is essential for participants to respect one another’s boundaries and acknowledge that certain individuals may prefer to avoid physical contact.
It is your responsibility to let your tutor know if you have any injuries and to be mindful at all times of your own body’s capability during the retreat. If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity during the retreat, then you must desist immediately.
FILMING
Filming and photography may take place at various times and locations throughout the week. This footage may be utilized for public relations purposes. If you prefer not to participate in the filming, please inform a member of the SER team prior to your arrival.
Live Showcase – If your holiday offers an end of week live showcase, we will endeavour to record this for personal use, but this will be an amateur video that is not professionally budgeted – it is not included in the holiday offer. This recording is strictly prohibited from being shared on any social media platforms. In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to exclude you from the recording; however, please understand that this may affect others who wish to be filmed and could have a negative impact on the final video production.
Recorded Performances – If your holiday offers a recording instead of a live showcase, we will bring in a professional videographer who will film the performances and also film situations throughout the week for a fun piece of memorabilia. As the holiday offers a recording from the week it is not possible to opt out of the recording. The recording is for personal use.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Although airport transfers are not included in any of our retreats, we may offer assistance by booking a group transfer that is provided by a local licensed company. Transfer fees are to be paid separately. The cost of the transfer is divided among the number of guests requesting the service. Because of this, should you request and accept a transfer at the quoted price, you will be liable for the payment even if you later choose not to utilise the transfer.
SER Holidays is not liable for any missed transfers due to delayed flights or other issues and cannot provide refunds if you miss the transfer. We will endeavour to hold a transfer if we know your flight is late, but the delayed departure of the transfer will be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.
In the event of a missed transfer, we will assist in booking you onto other services, but you will be liable for the extra fees.
For Tarifa holidays this will involve using the national coach service which leaves Malaga airport dropping you at Algeciras, a 10-minute drive from the retreat.
CANCELLATION
If a customer cannot attend their booked holiday, they may change their booking to another holiday for a remarketing fee of £250 plus any difference in costs on condition that SER Holidays is notified in writing at least 8 weeks in advance of the original booked holiday. In this situation all remaining balances owed to SER Holidays will be due immediately.
If a customer cannot attend their holiday and cannot rebook:
If cancellation is made by the customer between the payment of the deposit and 12 weeks before the event start date, then the customer will not be entitled to a refund of the deposit.
If a cancellation is made by the customer up to 4 weeks before the event they will not be entitled to a refund of the deposit or the 2nd payment paid or due.
If a customer cancels between 4 weeks and the event start date, then they will not be entitled to a refund of any payments made or due. For clarity, no refunds are offered for any payment made or due but further payments not yet invoiced by SER Holidays will be void.
Customers may change the name on their booking free of charge if they want to pass their booking on to someone else. In this instance the remaining cost of the holiday yet to be paid will be required to be paid within 7 days of the notice of cancellation or transfer.
SER Holidays aim to never cancel a holiday but if, due to extenuating circumstances, SER Holidays is forced to cancel the event before the start date, then the customer will be provided with a full refund of the holiday costs paid to SER Holidays. In most cases if an event cannot go ahead, SER Holidays will look to postpone the event to a later date.
GENERAL
If you experience a problem during your retreat, please inform the retreat Event Manager immediately and he/she will endeavour to put things right – SER staff cannot deal effectively with complaints made after guests have left.
