Terms & Conditions

Sing Eat Retreat is a trading name of Intevco Ltd.  As a Limited Company, all customers and employees must be aware of the terms and conditions set out below as a means of protecting the health and safety of all individuals involved in activities planned and carried out at a Sing Eat Retreat holiday.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

Intevco Ltd requires a £200 non-refundable deposit fee paid to secure the place.  By paying this fee customers are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions and will be emailed a ‘booking confirmation’.

60% of the full balance, less £200 deposit, is payable 8 weeks before commencement of the event and final payment of 40% is payable 4 weeks before commencement of the event, unless agreed otherwise on confirmation of booking.  Under the circumstance that the balance is not paid by the agreed dates, Intevco Ltd will have discretion to treat the booking as cancelled by the customer and will be able to open the space back up for re-sale.

CANCELLATION

If cancellation is made by the customer between the payment of the deposit and 8 weeks before the event start date, then the customer will not be entitled to a refund of the deposit.  If a cancellation is made by the customer between the payment of the 2nd payment and 4 weeks before the event start date, then they will be entitled to a refund of the 60% (less deposit).  If a cancellation is made by the customer any less than 4 weeks before the event start date, then the customer will not be entitled to any refund but will be offered transfer onto a later event of the same value (less the £200 deposit).  Customers may change the name on booking free of charge if they want to pass this on to someone else.  If we have to cancel the event for any reason within sixteen weeks of the start date, then the customer will be provided a full refund.

We reserve the right to cancel a booking if we deem the holiday unsuited for a particular person.  Please do not book your flights or make other travel arrangements until we have been in contact with you and confirmed your suitability for a particular retreat.

ACTIVITIES

Schedules and teaching staff will be adhered to as accurately as possible, but any activities scheduled by Intevco Ltd over the duration of the event, or any tutors, musical directors, mentors or masterclass guest artists may be subject to change.  If, due to unforeseen circumstances, any member of the teaching team is changed, they will be replaced with persons of equal experience and talent.

If a holiday does not sell to capacity and drops below 16 participants, Intevco Ltd reserve the right to reduce the number of teachers to an appropriate level which will not negatively impact on the size of the classes.

Customers shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless Intevco Ltd against all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from use of the property regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss.  Customers expressly recognises that any insurance for property damage or loss which the owner may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of customers and that the customer should purchase their own insurance for themselves if such coverage is desired.

Illegal activity is not permitted on the premises and customers partaking in such activities will be asked to vacate the premises immediately and will not be entitled to any refund.

In the event of unexpected weather conditions or any other external factors out-with control of Intevco Ltd, customers will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.

Sharing Rooms

It is advised you book a sharing room package for 1 person with a friend or partner that you will share with.

If you are travelling solo SER will try to manage who you are sharing with. We ask that guests in sharing rooms show mutual respect and consideration regarding noise and privacy.

SER will endeavour to resolve any sharing issues, however, if the villa is fully booked then the only option would be a move to the hotel at an additional cost payable by the person requesting the changes.

Allergies

We will make every effort to address any food allergies and/or intolerances; however, it is essential that you inform us of these requirements on the registration form. Should we be unable to meet your specific needs, we may be compelled to cancel your reservation.

Vegetarian and Other Food Preferences

We accommodate individuals following a vegetarian diet. During most mealtimes, there will be distinct dishes prepared exclusively for our vegetarian guests. We kindly request that those who have not indicated their vegetarian status refrain from taking from these dishes, as all meals are prepared based on the number of guests who will be dining.

The chef typically adheres to a menu rotation that features chicken, fish, and shellfish, while generally providing fewer options for red meat.

Alcohol (TARIFA)

Alcohol (wine and beer) will be provided with the main meal in the evening until 10:30pm. We request that guests do not help themselves to wine or beer from the fridges or stores but to speak to the manager on duty for any refills.

TUTORS, CLASSSES AND LIVE SHOWS

SER tutors are the best in the business and highly regarded in their field, possessing extensive knowledge and expertise in their profession. We kindly request that guests honour their decisions and methods regarding the organization of classes and the arrangement of the live show. The tutors will design a performance that aligns with the participants’ capabilities, ensuring an optimal public presentation.

All guests will have the opportunity to engage in 1-1 sessions and solo performances with the tutors; however, not everyone will have the chance to perform a solo during the live show. In the event of an imbalance in vocal types, guests may be requested to assist with the vocal type that is underrepresented.

We aim to give people chance to work with pros in a manner akin to that of the theatre. Whilst this can be intense at times, it does provide a greater experience for our guests.

PHYSICAL CONTACT

There are occasions when it may be entirely appropriate and proper for Tutors to have physical contact with guests, particularly in a performing arts environment, but it is crucial that they only do so in ways appropriate to their professional role. Physical instruction which involves safe touch towards certain areas of training is sometimes key to aid effective teaching and learning, i.e., awareness of correct muscle usage, correct posture, correct line and breathing techniques.

If you are uncomfortable with any form of physical contact, kindly inform the tutor at your earliest opportunity.

It is essential for participants to respect one another’s boundaries and acknowledge that certain individuals may prefer to avoid physical contact.

It is your responsibility to let your tutor know if you have any injuries and to be mindful at all times of your own body’s capability during the retreat. If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity during the retreat, then you must desist immediately.

FILMING

Filming and photography may take place at various times and locations throughout the week. This footage may be utilized for public relations purposes. If you prefer not to participate in the filming, please inform a member of the SER team prior to your arrival.

Non-public Filming – The live show may be recorded solely for the private use of guests. This recording is strictly prohibited from being shared on any social media platforms. In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to exclude you from the recording; however, please understand that this may affect others who wish to be filmed and could have a negative impact on the final video production.

GENERAL

If you experience a problem during your retreat, please inform the retreat duty manager immediately and he/she will endeavour to put things right – SER staff cannot deal effectively with complaints made after guests have left.
