After the magic of our overseas retreats, it’s time to pack your (metaphorical) pencil case and return to campus for a very special SER Holidays Reunion at the beautiful Queens College, Taunton, Somerset.
This is back-to-school like you’ve never known it before — five unforgettable days of singing, reconnecting, laughing and celebrating everything we love about SER. And instead of Speech Day in the Assembly Hall? We’ll be taking to the stunning 500-seat Queen’s Hall Theatre for our end-of-week live revue. Term has never sounded so good. 🎓✨

🎭 2 Musical Directors
Witness Leigh Stanford Thompson and Steve Moss go head-to-head in the ultimate race for Head Boy in this never-seen-before musical showdown — a playful clash of the maestros as our West End–experienced Musical Directors lead ensemble numbers and featured pieces with brilliance, wit and just a hint of competitive spirit.
🎤 2 Vocal Tutors
And in true boarding school tradition, our Vocal Tutors will be in friendly rivalry for the title of Head of House — championing their singers through dedicated small-group coaching and tech focus sessions designed to sharpen technique, polish tone and build unshakeable performance confidence.
🌟 A Performance Director
Our resident theatrical luvvie (every good boarding school has one), will sweep into rehearsals with flair, fabulous scarves and just the right amount of dramatic pause… Guiding staging, storytelling and emotional connection as we shape our Back to Skool Reunion revue into something truly show-stopping.

At the centre of campus sits the jewel in our crown — the impressive 500-seat Queen’s Hall Theatre.
After five days of rehearsing, reconnecting, laughing and possibly earning a few imaginary gold stars, we’ll take to the stage for our end-of-week live revue — performed in full theatrical glory to a packed audience.

This beautiful 16th-century Somerset house has been lovingly decorated with antiques to create a warm, calm and gloriously cosy atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you half expect to be called in for tea and advice about your posture.
Set in the heart of the countryside, it’s perfect for those wanting a peaceful retreat after a full day of vocal gymnastics.

Decided you’re not just back at school — you’re running it?
These Hotels offer boutique-style comfort with private en-suite bathrooms, garden views, free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities and all the creature comforts you’d expect from a rather accomplished sixth former.
Conveniently located near Taunton’s attractions and transport links, these hotels are stylish, polished and wonderfully easy for post song slumber!
We have secured beautiful boutique solo rooms with en-suite bathrooms.
School Transport & Breakfast Protocol
All breakfasts are taken together at Skool (because assembly matters).
Shuttle pick-up is provided for hotel guests booked here and included in your package.
Prefer to drive? Ample parking is available at the college.
Staying for Open Mic and enjoying a few wines? We’ll make sure you get safely transported back to your hotel.
No prefect duties required.

Food
Fuel for High Notes & House Points
Breakfast, lunch and three evening meals — complete with wine and beer — are all included in your SER term fees. You will not go hungry at this school. Expect an ever-changing menu, plentiful portions, and morning and afternoon snacks to keep energy levels high and harmonies tight.
In true SER tradition, each day begins with **Assembly Breakfast at Queens College**. Followed swiftly by vocal warm-ups and whatever musical mischief the timetable demands.
Wine and beer are complimentary with the provided evening meals until 10:30pm — which is, coincidentally, just enough to gently lubricate those Open Mic vocals.
Detention is not served.
Dessert absolutely is.
